The 1.5ltr GP formula was a hot bed of racing in the 1920’s. The T39 in all its guises was Bugatti’s answer to the formula and a very successful one. The T39 ran in sports car form and in Voiturette formula but became the first GP Bugatti to be fitted with a supercharger. The T35 and T51 all use T39 part numbers for its super charger and drive gear train calling back to this fabulous model.
